Saturday, June 29th from 8:30a-8p

Get ready for the event of the summer! We are back in action for our Third Annual Summer Party! This year we have even more new and exciting activities for youth and adults, members and guests. All we ask is that you clear your calendar and get ready for some fun! You do not need to register to attend the event, unless you are competing in the Youth Mini Challenge or Dyno Competition.

SCHEDULE:8:30a-9:30a: BIG FREE YOGA (Check-in starts at 8am)9:30a-12p: Kung Fu Tea Truck serving bubble teas, sushi from Sushi Tomo, and other beverages.10a: ASCEND Opens for normal daily activities, community vendors, & fun times.11a-1p: Youth Activities (Read more below)12p: Dive Bar & Grille serving lunch, snacks, and adult beverages throughout the afternoon.2p-4p: Dyno Comp (Read more below)5p-6p: Dyno Comp Finals 8p: Gym closed - thanks for coming!

YOUTH ACTIVITIESBring down the whole family! From 11a-1p we will have two areas of youth activities set up. The first area will be in our Child Watch Room and will include arts, crafts, and games. The second area will be on our Arch Boulder and Top-Roping Wall. This portion of youth activities will be structured like a mini-competition challenge, which is $10 to enter. (25% off for ASCEND Youth Climbing Team.) There will be 3 fun bouldering challenges on the Arch and a speed climb challenge on the Top-Rope Wall. Every participant will receive a score card to keep track of their activities. Everyone who turns in their score card at the end will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win two $50 ASCEND gift cards. One will be awarded to a girl raffle winner and the other to a boy raffle winner. Points to do not count towards winning the raffle, all we need is the completed score card for entry. 

LEARN MORE AND REGISTER HEREDYNO COMPSo, what is a Dyno you ask? A dyno is a climbing move in which the climber jumps or moves dynamically from one hold to another. This often includes swinging, leaping, flailing, and the occasional fall onto cushy pads. Two years ago, our Dyno Comp was a big hit, so we decided to bring it back this year. The dyno problems will be set by our expert team of setters on the Arch Boulder during the week leading up to the comp. The climbs will be front and center for all to enjoy starting at 2p. Competitors will have 2 hours to earn their highest point count possible, before we take a break to announce Finalists around 4p. All competitors will get swag for giving it their all on the wall. At 5p, our Finals Round will commence with a head to head battle between the top 5 women and men. To participate, registration is required and costs $10. The Dyno Comp is NOT included with the purchase of a Day Pass. If you are not a member or a punch pass holder, you will pay for your registration in addition to your day pass. Prizes will be awarded to finishers in the following order:1st Place Woman & Man: $2002nd Place Woman & Man: $1503rd Place Woman & Man: $1004th Place Woman & Man: $505th Place Woman & Man: $25

If you'd prefer to ignore all of the extracurriculars and stick to your routine, do not worry - bouldering, top-roping, fitness, and regularly scheduled yoga classes are open throughout the day.
