Pre-Race Day Yoga For Runners

Gently flow through yoga poses centered around foot and ankle health and stretching and strengthening hamstrings, glutes, calves, quads, and hips. Prepare for race day with meditation for goal visualization and breath awareness.

In this workshop we’ll:
- move through yoga poses to develop balance and foot and ankle health
- stretch and strengthen hamstrings, glutes, calves, quads, and hips
- learn asana for postural awareness
- practice pranayama to cultivate breath awareness and control
- end with guided meditation for goal visualization

No prior yoga experience needed. This workshop is be open to all levels of runners, whether you are running in a marathon event or just starting to run.

Handstands + Conditioning

Learn the basics of handstanding and how to train for your handstand goals. This 90 minute workshop will be led by Nadia, our best inversions teacher, and will cover all the basics of handstands - everything you need to start or advance your practice!

The first half of the workshop will cover:

  • hand placement

  • mobility exercises for wrists and shoulders

  • a thorough full-body warm-up

The second half of the workshop will include drills that cover: 

  • over-head mobility

  • core engagement

  • strengthening exercises specific to handstanding

Participants will leave this workshop feeling inspired to continue their handstand journey with knowledge and confidence. Being able to hold a 30 second plank is a prerequisite skill for this workshop.

Learn how to release tension in your fascia – the connective tissue that surrounds your muscles, bones, and nerves – with self massage, using tennis balls and other yoga props.

No prior yoga experience needed. We’ll work from head to toe – literally – learning how to target areas of tension, including the upper back and shoulders, hips and lower back, and the hands and feet. Don't miss this opportunity to learn a new way to restore balance in the body.

In this workshop we will explore elements of yin, restorative yoga and yoga nidra that help to support healthy regulation of the nervous system. We will journey through a few yin shapes reflecting one of the 5 elements relating to current season. Then move into stillness for restorative yoga and end with a guided yoga nidra practice.

In this workshop you will be guided into several yin yoga shapes holding poses for 1-3 mins to release tension in target areas. Props will be offered for a few restorative postures slowing moving into more stillness as you are guided into yoga nidra or yogic sleep. In this guided meditation you can experience a profound sense of relaxation slowly drifting in the states between wakefulness and sleep. No prior yoga experience is needed as this workshop is open to all levels. Most postures will be done seated or lying down with support from a variety of props.

This workshop guides participants through a 30 minute yoga flow, a short conversation about balance in climbing, and a guided climbing session with answers to any questions you may have. All needed gear is included (yoga blocks, climbing shoes, etc...).
