Yoga For Skiers + Snowboarders

Spend an evening learning mobility drills and yoga poses to help prevent injury and improve balance on the slopes. No prior yoga or skiing/snowboarding experience needed. Learn poses for pre- and post- skiing/snowboarding. Asanas and mobility work to:

  • strengthen areas prone to injury and overuse, such as knees, wrists, shoulders, quadriceps, and hip flexors.

  • improve balance.

  • build core strength – a key factor to a safe, efficient skiing/snowboarding stance.

Our winter season invites us to slowdown and spend more time introspecting. The colder days can take a toll on our muscles causing us to hold tension in areas that we don’t normally. In Rest + Reset we will explore the world of yin yoga, restorative and yoga nidra to release unnecessary tension in your body and return to a state of rest.

This 2 hour workshop is open to all levels. Most postures will be done on the floor with limited standing. You must be comfortable sitting and lying down on the ground with support from props.

An introduction to the energy centers in the body and how that can be utilized for improved physical and mental wellness.

Yoga is a union of our bodies and minds. The chakras are energetic wheels in the body. At certain times in our lives, they may spin too slow, or too fast. For our optimal wellness, we can practice our yoga (postures, breathwork, and meditations) in a way to keep our energy flowing.

This workshop will be a mixture of lecture, self-reflection, and practice. Please being a notebook.
